This podcast brings you DC Studios news and reviews with honest commentary. We debunk rumors, disregard scoopers, and cover the DC multiverse across film and television including Superman, Creature Commandos, Peacemaker, Supergirl, Lanterns, Man of Tomorrow, The Batman Part II and whatever else comes our way! NSFW. Est. 2015.
We already talked about the first two episodes of Creature Commandos, but what did we think about the rest of the season? If you listen to us regularly, you can probably guess what our opinion was overall, and what the heck, I'll just go ahead and say we loved it, but I think we have some interesting thoughts in here anyway. At least I hope we do.
We're plowing ahead with a lengthy and fun review of "The Penguin" series? Season One? Whatever it was, we're talking all about it, and beware: it's pretty much a gush fest. We loved it. Just so you know.
It took a minute, but we've seen all of "Batman: Caped Crusader" season 1, from J.J. Abrams, Bruce Timm and Matt Reeves, and we're reviewing it here today! It's not perfect, but we liked it a whole lot and fully recommend watching it on Amazon Prime Video before listening to this spoiler-filled review!
Time to review the excellent Netflix series "Dead Boy Detectives"! We talk all about this addition to the "Sandman" universe, hope whole-heartedly for a season 2, and we also manage to talk about bad some bad video games and our general hatred of flying in airplanes. It's a real hum-dinger!
We love Stargirl season 1. And we talk about that love, the adaptation of Infinity Inc, characters into live action, why Geoff Johns chose to play MmmBop by Hanson, and a lot more!
We discuss our favorite DC show of the year, Doom Patrol! In the history of DC Comics properties on television, I don't think we've ever loved anything quite as much as DC Universe's 'Doom Patrol'! We talk everything we loved and even the like two things one of us didn't absolutely lose his shit over. But my Lord there's so much love in this podcast.
SPOILERS/NSFW - DC on SCREEN #278 - 'Black Lightning' Season 1 Finale Review |
With too many villains, subplots and tropes jammed into the season finale of 'Black Lightning', was it possible to enjoy this episode? You're damn right it was. It may be the best DC show on the CW slate, but it isn't without flaws. A wasted Tattooed Man, a hurried climax, and confusing character motivations are just a few of the small problems that took us out of one of the best superhero TV shows on the air today!
With Matt Ryan's John Constantine officially heading to 'Arrow' this
fall, we decided to give you guys a proper review/recap of the
unfortunately cancelled 'Constantine'. We discuss why NBC killed it,
our thoughts on Liv Aberdeen (the pilot's audience proxy), and the
series regular characters, Zed, Chas, Manny, Papa Midnite, and of
course, John Constantine himself! We talk the show's triumphs, the
show's failures, the top three storylines we want resolved on 'Arrow',
and our highest hopes for our favorite Master of the Dark Arts . . .
ahem, Petty Dabbler.
